Sweet Sweet Baby | Pittsburgh Newborn Photographer
Posted on September 2, 2010
Let me just say how grateful I am to be able to photograph little newborns like this precious guy! Mr. B was so cute and so sweet. He was already about 9 weeks old which is sometimes a very difficult age to photograph. He gave his mom a little fuss or two when we first started the session. But then he was happy as a clam! He even slept for a little bit which allowed us to get some precious sleeping shots. I really enjoyed meeting mom and dad. We had lots in common and they are a fun family. Welcome to the world Mr. B!
I’d like to thank my dear husband who rescued me after my car had trouble. He drove me to the shoot and was my assistant for the day. I bossed him around and he carried all of my stuff for me! Thanks honey, I couldn’t have done it without you!

I can’t believe how quickly he is growing up. My little buddy started kindergarten today. He was very brave and only cried a little bit. I am so proud of my big boy!
He lost another tooth Saturday night while spending the night at my mom’s house. The tooth fairy must have been short on small bills because she left him $4 in quarters!
Good luck today little buddy! I know you will do great…mommy and daddy are so proud!

OBX vacation | Pittsburgh Family Photography
Posted on August 19, 2010
I wanted to share a few pictures from our vacation in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. We shared a house with a few of our friends. It was a first trip to the OBX and we really enjoyed it there. We would love to go back sometime…maybe next year??
My son got to spend the vacation with 3 of his best buds! He had the time of his life!
My little guy lost his first tooth while we were on vacation. The tooth fairy found him all the way down in North Carolina. Even though you can’t tell from this picture (he had just woken up), he was quite pleased!

This little six month old beauty was the happiest baby I have ever met! She smiled, laughed, giggled and rolled around.
Big brother is quite the little heartbreaker. He has the coolest haircut ever! Loved him! (Oh Yeah, we had to bribe him with a few brownies…Thank god for chocolate!)
Thanks so much to the A. family for inviting me to your home to photograph your beautiful family. I had a blast!

God’s Perfection {Pittsburgh Newborn Photography}
Posted on July 4, 2010
Is there anything more beautiful than a newborn baby? I love their skin and their ten tiny fingers and toes. I love how their lips pucker up and you occasionally see a little newborn smile. I love the little squeaks and tiny noises they make. I LOVE that I get to capture these tiny little miracles with my camera. Isn’t amazing that 10 months ago, this little guy did not exist?
He was a bit impatient in the womb and decided to join the world 5 weeks early. His mom had her baby shower the day before our session. What a lucky group of ladies at that baby shower. They go to meet and hold two week old little Mr. N!
Thanks so much to Mr. N’s mom and dad for welcoming me into their home to photograph this tiny miracle! Enjoy your sneak peek. I can’t wait to show you the rest!

11 days new {Pittsburgh Newborn Photography}
Posted on June 29, 2010
Let me just say that newborn sessions can be quite long and challenging. There is much more feeding, soothing, rocking, crying and comforting than actually photographing the baby. It is best to have your newborn photographed within the first 14 days of birth. The younger they are, the better they will sleep and they still like to be all curled up in those cute poses. Of course, not all babies are the same. Some like to give us a run for the money. This beautiful little peanut was not interested in sleeping much at all. But I was not deterred. This session lasted almost 4 hours (including set up and take down) allowing me to get some great awake and sleeping shots.
We tried some flower headbands but she wasn’t too fond of them (and we wanted to keep her as happy as could be).
Big sister did such a great job! She was very cooperative and is a natural in front of the camera.
I love the look on mom and dad’s faces. The are obviously head over heels for these two beautiful girls.
Finally we got her to sleep! I recently had a new mom tell me how amazed she was at my patience with her newborn. To me, its just part of the job. I truly love to photograph newborns. It is hard work but I love it! There is just something about capturing that moment in time that is gone all too soon. It never gets old for me and I hope it never will.
Thanks so much to the W. family for welcoming me to your home to capture this wonderful time in your lives! I truly enjoyed it. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Two Sisters {Pittsburgh Children’s Photographer}
Posted on June 14, 2010
These two girls were easy to fall in love with! They were so easy to photograph and have such great personalities. I love it when my job is easy. We jumped on beds and ran around outside and swam with the fishes. Their gorgeous mom is a friend of mine and I had met the girls before but never had the pleasure of spending time with them.
Little sister was a hoot! She loved to have her pal “Dot” (from Bug’s Life) in all her pics, but Mom was able to steal Dot away for a bit.
I think the tooth fairy has been to visit big sister recently
I love pictures of kids with missing teeth. Nothing says childhood more than a missing tooth! And doesn’t she still look gorgeous?!? What a beauty!
Thanks so much for inviting me into your home to capture these memories for you. I had a blast! Enjoy your sneak peek!
